The good part of all this? I've been reading a lot and kind of making up for lost time. I've selected a couple titles to read and they are:
- The Handmaid's Tale, by Margaret Atwood. From her I've just finished Alias Grace. I just found out she is Canadian! And I was just telling a friend how little Canadian authors I knew...
- Robin Hood, by Dumas. I felt like some adventure reading, so I found this little book by Dumas at the book store and I thought, "why not?". It was very satisfying - although I don't really condone with what Robin Hood did. It is theft to benefit a small group of people.
- Sherlock Holmes and Arsene Lupin, right now I can't recall who wrote this rare pearl, but I bought it because I actually played a game that I had thought was quite random, its title was: "Sherlock Holmes vs. Arsene Lupin". It was a fun read.
- Now I'm starting a new book, written by a Brazilian novelist known as Suassuna. It is a rare romance written by him throughout 15 years and it is a fun story following the same tone I felt reading books like Dom Quixote, by Cervantes and The Three Musketeers, by Alexandre Dumas, same Author of the Robin Hood Adventure I mentioned previously.
I plan to write about them in more details in the following weeks, if I get enough time.
